Spicy Avocado Hummus

A flavorful and creamy dip that combines the rich and buttery texture of avocados with the zesty kick of spices, creating a delicious twist on traditional hummus.


2 x Avocados (Nice and ripe)
1 x Can of Chickpeas
2 x Garlic Cloves
2 x Tbsp Lime Juice (Approx. 1 lime)
15-20 x Sprigs Coriander
4 x Slices Jalapeno (From the Jar)
1/2 Tsp x Cumin (Ground Powder)
1/2 x Salt Freshly Ground Pepper
2 x Tbsp Olive Oil
Splash of Water
Tortilla Chips

Equipment Required

  1. Colander
  2. Blender
  3. Small Glass Bowls
  4. Serving Bowl
  5. Sharp Knife
  6. Chopping Board
  7. Kitchen Shears
  8. Rubber Spatula
  9. Serving Plate/Platter


  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas with chilled filtered water, add to a food processor.
  2. Add remaining ingredients to the blender, blend until it reaches a smooth consistency, and add a little water as required
  3. Season with salt and pepper, have a little taste and add extra lime if required.
  4. Serve with tortilla chips
  5. For easy cleanup, get rid of the food waste with a Food Waste Disposer.
