In 1927, architect John Hammes invents the first garbage disposal in his basement.

1938

The InSinkErator Manufacturing Company is established in Racine, Wisconsin.

1954

The Model 77 is introduced, remaining InSinkErator’s signature product for the next decade.

1966

The Badger® series is introduced. Badger® disposals feature dependable, Dura-Drive® induction motors.

1988

InSinkErator celebrates 50 years of innovation with a limited edition Model 77 disposal.

2006

The high-performance Evolution® line launches, featuring advanced sound, grind, anti-jam, and anti-vibration technologies.

2018

InSinkErator breaks ground on a new headquarters with state-of-the-art Innovation Labs to create, explore and experiment.

2022
